Albayrak-Nurullah A public prosecutor has sought a prison sentence of 15 years for each of 33 lawyers on charges of membership in a terrorist organization. Among the defendants is Nurullah Albayrak, lawyer for Turkish-Islamic scholar Fethullah Gülen, whose views inspired the movement. Albayrak resides outside of Turkey.
Arslan-Murat The head of Turkish judicial association YARSAV was sentenced to 10 years in prison on 18 Jan. 2019. Murat Arslan was arrested on October 19, 2016, and charged with membership of the “Fethullahist Terrorist Organisation,” or “FETÖ,”
